Trailcations, or Trail Vacations, are outdoor adventure vacations. Whether you’re traveling on foot, by bike or on water, Trailcations has your outdoor adventure travel needs covered.

We hope to inspire adventurers of all experience levels to travel to the world’s incredible wild spaces by providing trail-tested travel guides, delicious camping recipes, backcountry skills tutorials and detailed gear recommendations. And hopefully help you have a little fun while you’re at it!

ABOUT US

Why Trailcations?

We realized how important the outdoors was to our mental and physical health when found ourselves making any excuse to spend time outside of our jobs in the backcountry.

Frustrated with that annoying coworker? Post-work paddling trip.
Stressed about a big upcoming executive review? Early morning sunrise trail run.
Sick of people texting, calling and emailing 24/7? All weekend backpacking trip in the land of no cell service. Huzzah!

Trailcations started out as a crazy idea sketched out in secret during another Zoom meeting that could’ve been an email. Like a small spark struck over campfire kindling, the idea flickered and sputtered and burned. With a little coaxing, it eventually caught aflame.

This fiery little pile of half-formed ideas known as Trailcations quickly transformed into a passion project, stemming from a desire to teach friends and family about how amazing the outdoor world can be. Today we are a small scrappy team of diverse adventurers who are passionate about providing you with the best information possible for your next outdoor Trail Vacation.
